WITCHCRAFT ESSENTIALS ON VACATION : What I actually bring with me

One thing about me is that I don't leave my spiritual practice at home when I go on vacation.

Now, that doesn't mean I'm packing half my altar into a suitcase and setting up elaborate rituals in a hotel room. Quite the opposite, actually.

Over the years I've found that the simplest travel altars are often the most useful.

When I'm traveling, I want to feel protected, lucky, open to opportunities, and most importantly, I want to have fun. So instead of bringing everything I own, I carry a small collection of items that can be used for quick spells, blessings, cleansings or simply helping me stay connected to my practice while exploring somewhere new.

My favourite travel item

The first thing I pack is my "safe & fun travels" charm.

I carry it everywhere with me whenever I travel. It's a small spell jar created with the intention of safe travels, joyful experiences, smooth journeys, and positive memories.

It lives in my purse, backpack, or suitcase and comes with me wherever I go.

I'll be sharing how I make mine on Patreon, but having a dedicated travel charm has become one of my favorite travel traditions.

OILS/ COLOGNES I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT

If I could only bring two magical products on vacation, it would probably be these. (These will both be available as LIMITED EDITION this upcoming week)

Lucky girl spell oil

I use this when I want things to flow smoothly. I apply it before exploring a new city, going to an event, meeting new people, or whenever I want to feel aligned with luck, synchronicity, and positive experiences.

Golden opportunities spiritual cologne

This is my "open every road" product.

I use it when I want:

  • opportunities to find me,

  • blockages to move out of the way,

  • good timing,

  • successful outcomes,

  • smooth travel experiences,

  • and aligned opportunities.

Vacations are supposed to be fun, and I personally love supporting that energy intentionally.

HERBS

I usually bring a small pouch with a handful of my favorite magical herbs.

Lavender -peace,calm,healing,harmony,restful sleep,spiritual cleansing.

Basil-abundance,luck,prosperity,success,blessings.

Black pepper- protection, banishing negativity, breaking through obstacles, strength.

Rose petals - love,beauty,self-love,attraction,Venusian energy.

Licorice Root - influence,personal power,confidence,strengthening intentions.

Rosemary- protection,purification,clarity,memory,spiritual cleansing.

Lemongrass (my FAVOURITE traveling herb) - road opening, removing blockages,

clearing stagnant energy, fresh starts, attracting opportunities.

Cinnamon (My second travel favorite) - luck, abundance, protection, success, speed, attraction.

Cinnamon has a way of helping things move.

If I want opportunities, momentum, fun experiences, and positive outcomes, cinnamon is usually involved.

CRYSTALS AND CANDLES

I like keeping things simple.

I usually carry:

Obsidian - protection,grounding,energetic boundaries,absorbing unwanted energy.

And usually one or two small white chime candles.

White candles are versatile and can be used for any intention.

CLEANSING ON THE GO

I also usually bring a small piece of Palo santo or Dragon's Blood incense.

Sometimes a hotel room, rental apartment, or unfamiliar space just feels energetically heavy.

A quick cleansing ritual helps make a temporary space feel more like home.

WORKING WITH WHAT I FIND

As much as I love bringing magical supplies with me, my favorite part of traveling is actually working with what I find.

Nature provides so many magical ingredients if you're willing to pay attention.

A beautiful shell.

A feather on the ground.

Interesting stones.

A flower growing along a path.

A branch washed ashore.

A piece of sea glass.

Some of my favorite vacation spells have been created almost entirely from things I found while exploring. Let me give you some fun examples;

Seashells

Seashells are wonderful for beauty, protection, self-love, intuition, feminine energy, and ocean magic.

They're especially beautiful on altars dedicated to water associated deities such as Aphrodite.

Seawater

Seawater is often associated with cleansing, protection, emotional healing, intuition, spiritual purification, and releasing negativity.

I love using it in cleansing rituals and protection work.

River Water

River water carries a different energy.

It's often associated with movement, change, progress, transitions, momentum, and removing obstacles.

If seawater cleanses, river water moves things forward.

PLANTS, TREES, ROSES

Olive trees - peace, blessings, prosperity, wisdom, protection, and abundance.

Jasmine - love, attraction, beauty, dreams, intuition, and spiritual connection.

Hibiscus - passion, confidence, self-love, vitality, attraction, and joy.

One of the biggest lessons travel has taught me is that magic doesn't always need elaborate tools. Sometimes all you need is intention.

The herbs and supplies I bring simply give me a starting point.

The real magic often comes from paying attention to what's already around you..like a feather waiting exactly where you needed to see it.

You can always look up traditional correspondences later, but don't underestimate your intuition.

Sometimes the item that catches your eye is the one your spell needed all along.

And honestly, that's my favorite kind of magic.
